It seem they have gone through some changes. New owner, line up change and more of those annoying AD Council spots. Anybody know any details?

That station was actually bought by Tom Ervin back in the fall of last year. I feel that they have struggled to find an identity since the purchase. They are supposed to be a sports station and they are in every daypart except mornings and weekends. This station has a decent signal and could really be the flagship in Anderson if they had $$ and the right PD.
I gotta say, I really don't care for their morning show or the sports talk. However, "Left of The Dial'' I love. It's a for real program. The kind I wish was on more, with the DJ pretty much playing what they choose. Much like FM used to be in a by-gone era.

If by "it's just a matter of time" you mean it will be out of business then you are wrong. The owner (if the license has actually transferred) is a wealthy lawyer. I'm sure he would like to make money but he doesn't have to. His reason for getting the station is that he wants to make sure that Belton football stays on the air. He graduated from that high school. It is a very bad radio station. You say that the people want their talk back. Nobody listened when they were talk. The last time I checked WRIX was about #15 IN ANDERSON COUNTY!

Remember this: Basically domant are two sleeping Giants; WCCP & WRIX.
Programming & Coverage will scream the truth, when the respective owners are ready to hire the right people for the job. There are alotta Snow-jobbers out there, so they need to be careful. They will promise you the world, but can they deliver?

That station has reallly got bad. The morning show is one host short and the so called person behind the glass that produces the show and run the board is hidious on the mic and can never seem to press the right button. Geez would someone please step in and program this station!!!!!
