WRIX

Found WRIX's AC feed, never heard of it before. It's not very good. The DJs are boring and it's not very professional to be satellite. The music mix is OK. It's not called anything really, they just promote 'best of the last 3 decades', 'listen at work', etc. Mostly late 70s through today. WRIX is NOT an oldies station or CLOSE to being one for those of you that may be thinking so. It is Mainstream AC. They are calling it simply "103.1 WRIX." Not 'FM Stereo' or whatever someone said. A bit disappointed that they didn't go for a satellite Classic Hits/Oldies format, but this is better than what they had.

Check out the lame URL- lol: http://www.thisradiostation.com

I agree that the music needs to improve. But they do play alot of Oldies. Yes, some of the recorded spots say 103.1 Wric, but some others (which may be very Old) say WRIX-FM 103.1 Stereo. I think that even more Oldies will be added once the live local talent starts.

I am just wondering when they are going to set up a good audio stream so that others of us in the state can listen as well.

Only old people determine what the oldies are. When does "Thriller" and perhaps Garth Brooks become oldies?

In the 80s, 50s music was considered 'oldies'. based on that..

but then that starts up the 'should guns & roses and poison be considered classic rock?' can of worms.

I pick up a number of oldies stations where I live, but what about the poor people who can only pick up WOLT?

Any chance WOLT will simulcast?

WRIX now streams live at www.wrixfm103.com! And yes, fun radio is great too! It is a small signal out of Sandy Springs, SC.
