WRJH off the air

Hot 97 has been off the air since at least this morning. Given that they are up for sale, could be it that they're off the air intentionally or, by coincidence, a technical problem? I remember calling last year when Magic 100.9 went dark and was told they were having technical problems.<P ID="signature">______________

I'd say Hot 97-7 is no more.

They are back on. However, depending on buys the station, they're probably on borrowed time. Until we know who it is, enjoy Hot while you can.<P ID="signature">______________

I second that, old Roy Harris would turn over in his grave if he new his baby had been thugged out.

Funny...I never hear Hot 97 play any commercials for Nollie White's place of bizness down there by that 3-legged water tower in good ole Polkville.

Love that 3 legged water tank commercial. How bout Brandon Cash and Carry and the Shell station across from the radio station. They stuck with the station all the way to the end. What I thought was kinda strange is that they were still running those commercials with Roy Harris' voice even though he's been dead for years. Some of the tapes were nearly worn out and they still played them.

I heard that the station was going to be back on June 1st as a Country station... Country 97.7 Todays Country Favorites and all the Legends... focus is to be primarily the boomin Rankin country area...local and on the streets...

If WRJH goes country that would wreck the Real Country WZQK 970. Which I doubt many people are listening too because the daytime audio is so low you have to turn the radio all the way up to hear it. It unfortunate because there are new houses going up all around the AM tower site on highway 471. The traffic is getting so bad they may have to 4 lane it. the WQST/WZQK folks should buy 97.7 and bring it back to Brandon. 97.7 can hardley even get into Clinton some days anyway.

LOL. I won't, I've got a good radio. I get a kick out of itty bitty small town stations, the more "unprofessional" the better. The big boys have become so cookie cutter and predictible. lately they all sound the same. Unfortunately most of the small town stations aren't much better either, and WZQK/WQST is on sattelite too.
