WRJH purchased by Roberts Broadcasting

Finally somebody has bought the station and the speculation can end! If I'm not mistaken this is the same company that owns the Jackson UPN property. What a pair of ratings giants these will be. Meet your new boss, same as your old boss....

I worked for Roberts briefly a few years ago. Decent people. Treated me well. But they put zero dollars into the station. I'll give them a 6.5 out of 10.

So now, the question is what happens to Hot 97. Will they stay urban or go into another direction? Since Roberts is a black-owned company, their chances of staying on the air are better than they would've been in another company, like Inner City, would've won the bid. Of course, there is no guarantee that Hot will be around. We'll see what the coming days and weeks will hold.

Do we have a confirmation on this? This site seems to be a great source of misinformation sometimes. How much was the winning bid, for instance?--- Casual Observer

Just a few things that are on my mind:1. Glad someone got it.2. If they did buy it, fire the whole staff. ( They sound like S_ _ _ ) :-X3. Maybe it won't sould like KJ's radio any more.4. You can't beat WJMI heads up so switch to a format you can sell.5. If you stay with the format, try and hire someone from WJMI to help u just NOT the girl Coco or Jonasty. 6. Hire Scott Steel :D he wants to be on air and can sell his ass off - - ;) "just joking"7. If Inner city didn't buy it, They are crazy. They could have locked up the urban format in Jackson.8. Look for a power move from Clear Channel to go after WJMI and or WKXI These were just a few things I know alot of you are thinking but afraid of saying.Peace and love

I guess CC hasn't been going after JMI/KXI lately, huh? Maybe they'll put Art Reed on mornings on Hallelujah. Now that would be scary.
