WRJH sold... for $1.95M

It's true - WRJH brought in $1,950,000.00 - out of bankruptcy and into the hands of UPN 34's Roberts Broadcasting. Even with its recent financial woes, the station appreciated more than 20% in just over six years.I can say one thing about that deal: don't look for WRJH to flip to Classic Country anytime soon.--- Casual Observer

What do you think WRJH's format will be now? Who bought it?I heard the Programmer of WRJH and Owner of On Top Communications is now working for Styles Media in Los Angeles at KDAY/KDAI. Who out in La-la land thought that was a GOOD idea?

I don't see a problem with it. Steve Hegwood is a great programmer when it comes to urban formats and he'll probably be an asset for Styles Media. Station ownership didn't work out for him, but he's one of the best when it comes to urban programming.RFB

With all the money WRJH was bleeding, I didn't think they would be worth that much. But I hope it works out for Roberts.BTW, will Hot move into the Roberts building on State or stay where they are on Lakeland?

If it's true about Roberts not being big spenders, I wouldn't hold my breath on them getting a new website for 34. I did a Google search to find WRBJ's website, but the only one I got was the one Jeff provided and that came from Wikipedia.org.

Why post a website that doesn't work? Anyway, I passed on Lakeland Drive and I saw Hot 97.7 van parked out in front of the home studio.

But will they stay on Lakeland. That is the question. Has Roberts closed the deal on Hot yet or did they assume immediate control at the auction?
