WRJL-FM Power increase

WRJL-FM in Eva has finally been granted 25,000 watts by the FCC. This should make it a real player in Huntsville. How long until someone gobbles it up?

Well, the thing *IS* for sale... the asking price is around $3 million if im not mistaken.

Man I wish I just had the CREDIT to get $3 mil to buy that thing... If someone made it sound like a real radio station and not like a FM station rebroadcasting an AM station that cuts the last few seconds of songs off, tighten up the segues and put a live person on for a few hours a day, it could stay in the same or a similar format and make buttloads of money!

Well, CC has slowed down the world acquisition quest of late, but they have the caysh to pull off a buy. Now, what they would do with it is anybody's guess. Cumulus could also be a player so that WVNN could get FM exposure.

I wonder if there is enough of a spanish presence in North Alabama within 40 miles of Eva to make a good go of a spanish format? Things that make you go hmmmmm.......
