WRKI I-95.1 Hiccuping...

Trying to listen down here in Greenwich and stamford today around 1:45 and It seems that RKI is hiccuping with silent dead air every few seconds for about 1/2 a second... what do you suppose is causing this? the norwalk translator?

It looks like the translators are now just off. I could not get them on Friday evening. I-95 was unlistenable in Stamford

That "hiccupping" you are referring to has been happening for years, on and off....The repeater was turned off last week....Must be a problem with the link from Brookfield down to the shoreline...it's a very very old translator system....I was in Norwalk on Friday and it came in fine...in the car at least.

I was down in Greewich today. The translator was definately not on. I could barely get RKI with a lot of static like a very distant station.

I hear it was fixed today. I am in Danbury so I could not tell you at the moment
