WRKO Advertises An Interview with Alzheimeric Kevin White With Howie Carr?

As part of WRKO's 25 anniversary the station announced that Howie Carr will be talking to former mayor of Boston Kevin Hagen White.

Very interesting, but Kevin Hagen White is in the second stages of Alzheimers disease.

Well, we will hear if the old saying about Hibernian Alzheimer patients is true - "The last thing they forget are the grudges."

Too bad Jerry Williams is gone. Would have made an interesting discussion with the old hack White. Wonder how his off-shore bank account is doing. Now that Mico Spring his former "friend" is a widow wonder if they have renewed that old "friendship"...Hmmm.

As Jerry Williams would often say of 'Kevin from Heaven', "Not a nice guy" and Jerry would know as well as others.
 
If he were still around and still on the air, Jerry would be on air right now saying "We're talking about the
election. It's the day after the night before."

Steve Sweeney as White: "And they ask me whatevah happened to Curley's desk. What about Moe's
desk? Larry's desk? Are Laurel and Hahhhhhhdy missing any furniture that I should know about. Some
guy comes up to me and says, 'Save the whales'...I could see saving stamps. What the heck am I
gonna do with a big whale in my living room? I am the mayah o' the schitty o'Borston!"
 
For point of reference, the first mimic to do Hizzoner on Jerry Williams show was not Steve Sweeney but Jim Morris- July 16,1982 to be exact.

Kevin was not amused.

The point is that Kevin Hagen White - the tutti di tutti of political hacks is only a news item on WRKO because of the Hizzoner stunt the general manager tried to pull off to increase ratings. The now brain dying Kevin Hagen White called General Tire Corporate in New York to complain.
Seems Kevin's brain was on the way out in 1982. Couldn't have happened to a nicer hack. Will break out the Champagne on his grave ...soon one hopes.

We've actually worked in radio. They follow us around like puppy dogs. Maybe they should read that book "10 Simple Solutions to Adult ADD"
 
What's sad is that Casablanca has diminished himself so much since his dismissal as to be aligned with the village idiot of boston radio.

Not working.

Whether Django or I work in radio now (and the moderator knows we do) is unimportant. Varulven does not and never will again. And his cites of achievements that are never less than 10 years old prove it.

Don't believe this poster knows you or any of the other posters here.
Just thought, as Larry Glick would say, 'The story...behind the story' would be an interesting view on Boston radio history.
If you have ever been in radio, you would realize that some events are beyond your control and take on a life of their own. Those who were never in the spotlight suddenly are forced into it so that others may survive and keep their power and jobs.

She is no longer missing; was spotted in Tehran by an unbiased UN Observer.

Casablance, you do understand that the only way Ron "Rich Carberry" Jippy and TowerJangoLyndon actually feel like they are in radio is by trying to hit the mute button when we speak. Perhaps if Entercom paid their employees instead of following their critics around on the internet their stations wouldn't be plummeting faster than Dick Cheney's pellets.
 
WRKO has stopped promoting Howie Carr's interview with mentally challenged Kevin Hagen White.

Has it been canceled?

You were right...they did. But my appointment was with you and it was heartbreaking that you failed to show. All the boys say....... but Cindy and Hugie were good when they weren't so caught up in their own passions. Amazing flexibility for people of their ages. Crews from two Boston UHF's were filming them; one for a forthcoming reality show for which they're trying to get Tom Stoppard as the lead writer.
