a lurker on this board is on the phone with a theory. WRKO needs the budget cuts to pay for
The Red Sox. Makes sense to me.
 
Well I'm no lurker but I said the same thing. Overpaying (much like the Sox overpay for their players).
Yes it'll bring them ratings but the Sox rights don't come cheap. Wasn't it $20 million a yr for 10 years?
Similarly, what financial genius at Greater Media gave Severin that huge 7 yr deal? Not sure how much
the money is for, but it can't be cheap either.
 
Joe, this did NOT need another thread about WRKO. There is a very active WRKO thread right now of which our post (and the rest of this thread minus this post) belongs in.
