WRKO on air celebration June 3

Apparently there's a WRKO Boston reunion on June 2 and the next night there's an on air special: "**********Saturday, June 3, 2017: A 4-hour tribute (7pm-11pm) to WRKO with 5 members of the original NOW CROWD playing the hits from the Top 100 of 1967 using the original WRKO jingles. Live broadcast will be aired on WRKO (AM/Streaming) (via D.A. Boucher)

Is this for RKO Golden Great '68 or for Talk Radio when David Brudnoy and then Jerry Williams came on board in September of 1981 ?

As the OP said, "playing the hits from ... 1967". That would hardly be a commemoration of talk radio.

As Wikipedia mentions, by early 1967 WNAC 680 tried top 40 and talk formats briefly before settling on top 40 as WRKO.
By the late 70s as listeners migrated to FM, they changed to more adult contemporary (and Wiki says they also briefly considered switching to country). By 1981 they went talk with Jerry Williams, Gene Burns etc

Raccoon.....you have come to be the person to count on for taping things like this....for those of us out of the area, and without the ability to record.

Are you going to be taping all 4 hours?
