WRKO

If I were WRKO, I'd have much more of a news/interview format in the morning, giving Rob Fritz much more of a presence. Similar to WOR with Ed Walsh in NYC. I'd also move Scott Allen Miller into a slot that utilizes his talent better. Perhaps, the 12-3 Limbaugh slot.

I get all tingly when I hear Joan Hamburg pipe in.

Gee I wonder who this is! Sure, let's get rid of the highest rated talk host in the nation. If you were WRKO you'd have ratings in the cellar.

"Ratings Gap Between Rush Limbaugh and Liberal Talkers Looms Large"

(and this is in NYC where Franken gets some of his best ratings. In many places
he does a lot worse.)

It was funny yesterday when Howie mentioned giving a "funny pill" to his
daughter after she sprained her ankle--and Tatoo, or whomever was running the
board, immediately aired the clip of Rush saying "Doctor shopping???" :)
Talent on loan from Oxy-Contin! As a conservative bumper sticker says,
Even On Drugs...Rush Is Right :) This could be the real reason why people
talk about taking drugs and getting a good russhhhhhhhhhh....

Howie is more interesting talking about what goes on with his own family
than Jay Severin, who we KNOW always talks about his lovely wife Renee
and life in Sag Harbor (/sarcasm)

Geez, what the__!!! WE COVERED THIS ALREADY!!

Rush has more listeners (by far) than Scott Allen Miller or Depetro. It's one of WRKO's strongest dayparts.

Why would they flush their best performing syndicated program for a local host that certainly won't pull down the numbers of Rush? Just because you have some unhealthy fixation with the idea?

If you hate Rush, don't listen! Go elsewhere! Radios still come with tuning buttons (or knobs)....use the option! Rush is there to stay, get used to it!

As for the morning show, it is pretty bad. I have always been a fan of S.A.M., but literally cannot listen any more. Listened to Blute and Scotto (and predecessors) for years, but am done with WRKO in the morning. It's just disorganized and poorly orchestrated. They lost me.

Miller is out of his element and sounds rushed all morning. Something needs to be done to salvage this thing. Give him a co-host and go talk heavy - please. Oh yeah, already been done.

WRKO would be foolish to get rid of Rush, he has more listeners than SAM, Depetro and Carr put together, secondly, they should have left SAM alone, let him do his thing instead of changing the format. The format is ridiculous, doesn't really enhance SAM's talent, doesn't give him much time to interact with the callers, always being interrupted by the traffic on the ones which is absurd, I don't need traffic updates every ten minutes followed by another two minutes of commercials, the whole thing stinks. Maybe the should just partner up SAM and Rod Fritz, let Ben Parker do the news or move Listo Fisher into mornings or bring back Mary Blake mornings.

Limbaugh is utilizing plant callers - he, Coulter, O'Reilly and
Hannity are upping the attacks-but Hannity loses to Ed Schultz
in Washington state,doesn't he?

And as someone posted here - Rush's #s are pitiful in Boston

when you can't get Air America at 7 PM in Woburn, Stoneham,Reading
and points North,it's easy for a liar like Savage to get #s

The Majority Report is such stimulating radio.

We've been over this before, too. If anyone wanted to listen to AAR, it'd be on WRKO and Savage would be on a tea kettle somewhere. But, sad as it may be, having 8 million listeners qualifies you for perks that shows with no listeners don't get... like better stations, where those 8 million people can actually tune in.

"It is to laugh...!"....

Used to love listening to Garafalo lose her mind and start shreiking to whomever she hated that day....Christians, Republicans, whatever! She's a truly unhindged broad. HOWEVER...now that it's on against George Noory's BigFoot Line well ah, I have my priorities! ;)
