Actually, outside of Boston no one knows him. If you can get to Gay Paree you can buy my record albums too! But we kid VB because, unlike you, he can take a joke. That's why the 17 listeners of the Howie Carr show prefer him over Howie 16 to 1!

Fortunately for me, Boston Rose, I'm a Part of the business, not apart of (or away from) the business as you flubbed on your attempt at correspondence. There is still time for you to complete 7th grade...

Valsaline's dream world aside: I tried to listen to Howie Carr this afternoon and there were so many sound effects and drop ins getting in the way, I change stations quickly (actually, a small lie: I put in a CD instead). If Boston Rose wants to aid Boston Radio he could kill the board monkey that feels like they have to keep pushing buttons every ten seconds. Sound effects are an art. :'(

When I lived in Boston, I used to love listening to WRKO. Jerry Williams, Gene Burns, Tom Leykis - before he tried to shove his wife into the fireplace ... Howie Carr and Barbara Anderson ... all good stuff.

With home heating costs rising, as they are, the gentleman may just have been a little before his time in keeping the home fires burning!

Biggest mistake WRKO ever made was not supporting Gene Burns attempt to syndicate his show. He got sr*&%@ by a former news director at WRKO who went off to New York and as I remember it sabotaged Burns syndication deal.
Still, Gene Burns must be just as happy and rich 'crossing the meridian' at KGO in San Francisco.
