WRLL Goin' Bye Bye

Did anyone record any of the Jocks' last shows? I started recording the stream earlier today, but it now appears to be on auto pilot. I will probably keep recording until the flip on September 18, but it's kinda boring now without any jocks.

There was no formal last show, they did not know it was their last show until late in the afternoon when Earl Jones fired everybody. There some information about this on www.realoldiesfans.com

All I remember about the last show was that Tommy promised some premium Elvis stuff for the next day (Aug. 16), the anniversary of Elvis' death. Had I know it was the last show, I'd taped it. God, how I miss Real Oldies...

Figures. I had been letting Replay AV's stream capture run continuously back in July when I first read about the demise of the station. Then I stopped for awhile because I hadn't seen a definite end date. Last I read on the '50's and '60's oldies board was that it probably wouldn't last to the end of the current Arbitron book. Guess I should have kept recording. Hopefully someone happened to be recording on the 15th.
