WRLX to go by the wayside

It is sad to hear that another lite/ez hits type format will be gone. I am in my late 20'S and I would not say this is my favorite
but I would listen more than a few times a week if I had that option where I live. Also the predominate age group for these
types of stations are so loyal to those stations, I find it very hard to believe they can't sell the format. Maybe the problem is
there are not enough 50 year old + sales people working in radio anymore. I am not sure about the last part of my comment
but that is my perception.

The problem is that nearly no advertisers want to reach the 60+ audience standards delivers. You can have 600 sellers, and if there is no demand, they will still sell nothing.

Soft AC WRLX in West Palm Beach is going latin hot AC. It's one of the few soft AC's worth listening to. :-\

According to R&R, the station's format will still be heard on the classy921.com website as well at their HD2 channel, so it's not a total loss.
Here's the link to the R&R Story:

This is very sad. WRLX was THE station to listen to for Florida vacations (and I'm a young person). Radio where I live is basically sleazy and stupid. There aren't any good stations anywhere at all. I think there still could be a youth retro revolution in this country. We might not be depicted on TV but our ranks are growing. I'd love to see it happen. It certainly would catch all the aging baby boomers off guard - they wouldn't know what to do!

Meanwhile, does anyone have any airchecks from this fine station?
