The story is a couple weeks old, however the fact that he was arrested is the update.
 
The questions is what does the station do? The morning show actually is better with more music.

He was booked on 6/1. Developing story is from 6/8. He hasn't been on on the air since Friday, May 30th.

Oops! Well why the hell is WRMF still running best of's???
 
I would think a male jock booked for domestic violence against a female probably won't fly on the female-friendly 'RMF... Maybe they're running a month of best-ofs hoping this thing will blow over?
 
They were never running "best-ofs".

They were operating the show without him for the month he was off the air. He returned two days ago like nothing ever happened. But they are live...no "best of"

I'm amazed that there's no public outrage about this. I'm even more surprised that there's virtually zero explanation from the station as to its stance on the whole thing.
 
from the sun sentinal 09/07/08:[/b] A domestic battery charge against 97.9 WRMF morning show radio personality Ralph "Danny" Czekalinski has been dropped.

West Palm Beach police arrested Czekalinski, 44, May 31 after his 31-year-old live-in girlfriend and registered nurse, Jamie Barrett, accused him of throwing her to the floor and punching her face during an argument.

The incident occurred at Czekalinski's home in the Riverwalk community in West Palm Beach. He was arrested on a single count of domestic battery.

Court records show that on Thursday the State Attorney's Office filed notice that it would not be charging Czekalinksi. The case was officially closed Tuesday.
 
The show flows better with Danny back but you have to wonder how this station is so arrogant that they don't even address the issue of his absence. This guy is gone for an extended period of time with no mention yet Jennifer takes off for the last week on vacation to Las Vegas and they repeat over and over what day she is going to return. This is a station that targets female listeners and must walk a fine line in how they handle the story.
