According to its website (937WRMO.com) little WRMO, all of 130 watts from downeast Millbridge, Maine has pulled the plug and gone silent because the guy running it can no longer afford it.

If you look on Google street view of this the gray 2 story building at the intersection with the yellow sign has an antenna on top of the building. I believe that is it.

Actually that was near their old location, they were behind the large two-storyy gry building. They moved a couple years back about a mile out of town to the Bushey Enterprises Building on Route 1, just over the townline in Steuben. Next time I go down there I'll get a pic. I don't know why the old TigerCensus maps shows the old location.
rjoc said:What a shame...they were a great sounding little station..Only mono, but a great variety of music...Perhaps if they had a better signal and higher antenna they could have had a little more luck. But Milbridge and all of Washington County have the worst economy in the state of Maine; so I'm surprised he got as many sponsors as he did. Still, hate to see it go silent...Hopefully someobdy else will resurrect it..or else it will just become another religious satellator.

Their studio windows were dark, nobody on the entire second floor and no cars in parking lot...and the single bay transmitting antenna atop 10-foot tripod on the warehouse roof was gone! Sad.... They sounded nice while they lasted. I wish GM Mike McSorley the best.

That means a lot more money and time spent.
Wonder if a school would be interested in purchasing.
Is there a HS in Millbridge?
