My question is didn't CC try it pre K with bad luck... There are currently 4 news or talk stations in NOLA (WIST 690,WWL 870,WGSO 990,WSMB 1350) with one sports station owned by CC...
Other than it being on FM, what would bring people to it compared to others? I know CC would love to have a news/talker down here after Katrina... But I would figure they would have shifted the format from classics to mainstream like Bayou but be more of a currents based station to pick up the slack that KKND left.
Associate with one of the TV stations down here for local news, and if need be, let your talker in Baton Rouge cover for any weakness in news in NOLA if need be.
If WRNO also flips, I think it would be the first time since it's founding it wouldn't be some sort of a rocker..but Bob walker and others could correct me.
