WRNT/WRDM

Holy Test Pattern Batman!

Actually, that's what it's been for some time now on both channels, though tonight I checked ch 50 and it's off the air, (it's on the air on cable though) Anyhone know what's going on?

Channel 50 has been having problems for a while. When I first bought my indoor antenna at Big Lots on December 8th, WRDM (50) was missing. A couple days later I hooked it up and 50 was back running it's regular Telmundo Programming during the day and JTV Programming Overnight. Then a couple weeks later 50 was just color bars. And earlier this month 50 was just color bars. Now as you said 48 has color bars and 50 is missing all together.

Speaking of problems, I heard from a reliable source that up in Philly (A Top 10 TV Market) CW-57 has been off the air for several weeks. This despite them being owned by CBS.

At a risk of being off-topic, WPSG has been on-air the last week or so, at least -- cable and digital weren't affected, but analog is broadcasting on a weaker auxillary antenna. The Philly TV board's all over this one.

I just wonder what's happening at these stations, I mean 50 is on cable, so they at least can still sell air time, but 48? how can they when it's a test pattern and they aren't on cable yet. I mean being on the air is the lifeforce for any broadcaster and downtime is always frowned upon (Ok, it's early in the morning, and the words aren't quite coming to me yet, but I'm sure you get the drift)

Also, off-topic here, for Azumanga, have you seen AMV Hell 3: The Movie? I'm assuming you're into anime from that handle, and Azumanga Daioh plays a big part in the whole AMV hell series.

If they're on channel 48, what happened with low-power Telefutura channel 47 from Hartford?
