From ALL ACCESS. . .PAMAL BROADCASTING will swap AAA WRNX/AMHERST-SPRINGFIELD, MA to CLEAR CHANNEL for three unnamed out-of-state stations, according to the SPRINGFIELD REPUBLICAN. The deal has not been filed with the FCC; PAMAL will retain Talk daytimer WPNI-A in the market and CLEAR CHANNEL will add WRNX to a cluster that includes Talk WHYN-A, Hot AC WHYN-F (MIX 93.1), Sports WNNZ-A (THE ZONE), and Country WPKX. WRNX had to be the coolest station in the Pioneer Valley. What do you think Clear Channel will do to it?

I did one night at RNX.Remember it having a scheduling system so antiquated that from 10pm to 6 AM it was free form because they couldn't actually schedule music.Easter Sunday 1995 I think it was..."Renaissance Rock For The Pioneer Valley"Ha!CC is going to castrate it and make it another McAAA station. What did you expect?

Hopefully nothing. From what I recall, WRNX was unique and different than any other station in the area. But to answer your question, "screw it up" first comes to mind...

Now that Clear Channel itself is being sold and has announced plans to sell off all 448 small-market stations it owns, I wouldn't think that WRNX is even on its (or the investment houses that are acquiring CC) radar screen anymore.
