Uh,... no. The PURPOSE of this "merger" was to find a way to increase profits by basically running two TV stations with the staff of one TV station.
Think about it. Sinclair now owns a TV station and doesn't pay anyone to work there. How's THAT for decreasing overhead and improving the bottom line?
8 gets a cut of the revenue for managing sales and news programming, & is able to leverage the local buys for FOX and CBS prime (which together have the bulk of the coveted demos). In addition, they'll be selling all the NFL football broadcasts (with the acception of the foundering Monday Night product on ABC and the ESPN games ,of course)

You will. Just not the main anchors (Although you will see Kucko doing sports and Hetsko doing weather on 31

No argument there. Hard not to enhance what was a crapass product in the first place.
But 8's news might suffer in terms of quality if their staff is also feeding a product on 31.
