WROD's Purchase of a Deltona channel

WROD purchased Deltona translator W284AV a 10 watter to rebroadcast there signal. They will move it to Daytona and put on there tower in the river off of Beach St. where there transmitter is.
I understand Reach bought it for like 110K and the talk is they want to make it 250 watts and move the freq from the 104.7 it is on now to maybe in the 94 to 95 freq area. That would be strange because of the 100K that sits at 94.5.
What does anyone know about this cause the FCC site has nothing. NO apps for the power or the freq change... thanks :)

Some info on the FCC site for you:

It may be that the deal has already been negotiated between buyer and seller, and a completed engineering study has been implemented to determine any possible translator moves and upgrade, while no documentation has been filed with the FCC to date; however, such FCC filings are forthcoming.

Hey guy, I thought you'd respond. Hope you are well.
I don't think so regarding a 'deal', but can't say for sure. This owner paid at least four to five times as much as this trans is worth as I said. I sure hope he did a feasibility study on the move, power upgrade and freq change. 10 watts on the 300 footer they have would cover the Daytona business area and more importantly, the beach. Cause that's where I would want to sell, beachside. I bet that's what you'd have done Mark the study before I laid out a penny. As I said, I sure would have. You say such filings are coming....what do you know and how do you know it? Thanks

It's always a good business practice to complete an engineering study before any acquisition money is "shelled out". As for what I know, I have no direct knowledge of this particular transaction. I am only speculating as to what has and has not been done prior to the Buyer signing on the dotted line which is based on what I would do if it were me buying anything.

Well, though all your contacts, see what you can find out about the wattage they are asking for: I think 250, the height they can go: I think around 90m, the freq change to what: I think in the 94mhz area and anything else you can get and especially if they have actually filed yet... thanks Mark

Any guess as to when WROD will begin using their 104.7 translator? I, for one, look forward to it especially at night, but for sentimental reasons I'll probably leave it on 1340 for the most part.
