WROR MIXES UP THE CHRISTMAS SONGS!

Well, WROR-FM 105.7 is mixing up the Christmas songs with their classic hits format this weekend. So we'll be getting a little bit of their holiday cheer each hour. So we don't have to worry. Any comments?

When is WROR going to have full time Christmas music since WODS is gone. The only full time Christmas music close to Boston is Lite Rock 105 in Providence.

It's like old days when stations eased into holiday. New person in charge. WMJX same thing. Maybe not rushing into it but someday. No WODS forcing a flip
You CAN get all Christmas on 96.1 Worc, 94.9 NH, 105.1 RI

If Greater Media sits on this either CC or CBS will pounce. WHBA has NOTHING to lose by trying and WBMX is on life support.

CBS will simulcast WBZ on FM within a year and WBMX is the weakest link in the chain.

CBS blew up WODS and gave the staff 18 hours to say goodbye. WBMX would get less time.

CC tech does have it via WSRS
Approx range of signal: http://radio-locator.com/pats/WSRS_FM_LU.gif

...WHBA? Maybe. Their demo may skew slightly younger than
WODS under 60s-70s-80s format had, and maybe they'll like the Christmas who knows. There's a post WHBA did on Twitter saying how many days left till Christmas--nope no format change into
Yule, but...
WBMX: Could be

Who knows--powerful AM signal but the move is on to FM in so many places.

Last night I went onto 103.3 and kept hearing commercials; finally they broke out of it with a promo: "It's that time of year again!" and promoted their HD3 stream (also on web, smartphones) of
all Christmas (HD 2 continues to be 60s-70s-80s). As I have said I don't know if they'd take
103.3 into Yule...would their younger listeners go for it? Nat King Cole on Amp?

Then they went back into music and I could only take a few seconds of it.

Today, (November 24th) WROR-105.7's website has a "Christmas look".

Well, it's now red instead of yellow. And they have pictures of and are promoting the Grinch musical; and they have Christmas lights around the WROR logo AND I heard Mauzy Stafford mention yesterday morning (or was it this morning? Haven't heard Mauzy in a long long time so I was just so excited to hear her voice ;D ) that Santa returns next week each weeknight from 7pm to 8pm (i believe that's Paul Perry). And they've been doing this Santa cash thing for a week or two. And they are playing 4 Christmas/holiday songs per hour. But....that doesn't necessarily mean they will flip to all-Christmas on Monday, or at all, does it??? ??? I really really hope not.

One of the pages linked is still yellow-bordered. The Grinch/Trans-Siberian Orch. etc stuff showed up yesterday and THEN the page background went to red with the addition of the Christmas tree lights around the logo. ssetta said he had talked to someone at Greater Media that said it would go to Christmas Monday (tomorrow). Mark of Boston Radio Watch tweeted to me that it was "confirmed":

@bostonradio: Confirmed. 105.7 goes Xmas music 24/7 come Monday @WMWMBlues

oops now the main page background color is back to yellow on top but red, reddish-brown? on bottom. But the Christmas tree lights are unmistakable

That's wierd, back to yellow but, as you scroll down, it turns redder and redder. ???
