WROR new ID

Was listening to WROR tonight and they said Bostons classic hits. Before it was the 60s 70s and 80s all in once place so a little change to the station but no change with the music. Too bad they couldn't go more Motown like the old WODS.

Their website still says "60s 70s 80s all in one place".

I just happened to look at their program schedule and they now have Julie Devereaux listed solo from 4pm to 7pm M-F rather than Doyle and Devereaux. I could swear I heard both of them earlier in the week but maybe not. Anyone happen to listen regularly this week? Is Tom gone from the afternoons? And, if so, one wonders if WROR might be gearing up for some other personnel changes, maybe some additions to the lineup. We certainly know there is some available talent. Maybe dumping the 10-4 At Work Nation and adding, oh I don't know, a Paula Street and/or a Karen Blake and/or a JJ Wright, maybe a Mighty Mike Osborne.

As Arsenio used to say, just a few things to make you say Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I was listening to WROR 105.7fm on Sunday mid-day for a few hours. There was no radio jock on during that time. I believe I was listening from 11:30-1:30ishpm. Is WROR now going jock-less on weekends. I thought Mauzy Stafford and Paul Perry were typically on Sundays. Just curious. I have a feeling that WROR is going with a morning show and afternoon show and nothing else. Do you all agree. Also, the radio tag lines were Classic Hits too!

Paul Perry is usually there Sat and Sun afternoons. I'm pretty sure I heard him when I was briefly listening at some point Sunday afternoon. I also heard him on Columbus Day filling in on the afternoon shift for Tom and Julie (which is now just Julie).

I don't normally listen earlier on Sundays so I don't know if Mauzy is/was there or is still even with the station although she is still listed on their programming schedule:

And, by the way, WROR.com no longer says it's "60s 70s 80s all in one place" . It's now "Boston's Classic Hits". It was still the other one last Thursday when I first posted in this very thread. I was listening on the drive to work this morning but I really don't recall if Loren ever said one or the other.

Has anyone been listening to Julie D now that she finally has her own show without Doyle? It should have been just her all along.

There really hasn't been a change in the music that I've noticed. However, part of me thinks that after WROR does its all-Christmas thing, when they come back December 26th, the format may be adjusted closer to what WODS was and less of a classic rock hits type of station.
