WROW absolutely doesn't care anymore

Regardless of how one feels about Dr. Joe Parisi's Saturday afternoon show, it is a slap in the face to longtime WROW listeners that station management has shortened Dr. Joe's show to one hour and moved it to 4pm. And in it's place listeners can listen to THREE FREAKING HOURS of "Purity Products" This is what a once great Albany radio institution offers it's listeners on a Saturday afternoon? A 3 hour infomercial? Give me a break!! WROW should be sold if it can find any buyers.

WROW as in "Jimmy Morel" never did care, that's why PV had the free hand that he had to build a shadow station to which he eventually transfered the old WROW format, leaving Jimmy with squat.

There were two people on the WROW side of the building who were passionate about the radio station) and no few among the FMs because a "win" in spite of the ownership would be good news for all of them.

Jimmy eventally forced Scotto out the door (passionate broadcaster 1) and Mark Williams (passionate broadcaster 2) took a hike. Did you think it is a coincidence that they share the same "last" day at WROW?

The infomercial on a Saturday afternoon probably helps to pay to keep the power on for awhile longer to get over weakness elsewhere. Saturday afternoons are usually when people are out and about. Purity Products infomercials show up everywhere - even on music stations. Unless they offer the program free, figuring they will get lots of sales.
