WROX 1450

its oldies. I thought it was urban oldies till I heard Hot Time Summer In The City.

It's now 50/50 r&b and pop oldies. All-blues is just not sellable, even in Clarksdale. And the staffing situation was intolerable. When I showed up unannounced last week, the station reeked of cigarette smoke, alcohol and cat piss (the cats are another story). The persons responsible are now unemployed and I have a new GM coming on January 1.

The UN announced visit...the prudent radio owners greatest asset when trying
to find out "what's Happening"...I have done numerous over the years...and when an employee received quite a few "visits" myself. Luckily...everything passed muster, as I never received the pink ticket! (and a question for the readers, are you ready?) JBI

The station sounds good Larry. WROX was oldies once before in the early 90s while Tom Reardon was still around.... but it didn't sound as good :)

Thanks. It's just in "interim" mode at the moment. There will be more in early 2008, including a live morning show again. And a new GM.
