WRQK Changes?

He has been doing swing stuff for WNCD in Youngstown for a while. He is likely voice-tracked. Matt Spatz is the PD in Youngstown, of course they were coworkers in Canton in the past.
Voice-tracked or not, a good move. Listeners no doubt remember him and he had some impressive numbers.

Nick will be taking over mornings on Rock 107.

With as reckless as he has been in the past (getting fired for dropping F bombs and for multiple instances of obscenity) it will be surprising if he lasts more than a few months. He is not responsible enough to handle full time radio.

He had good ratings his first time at Rock 107, because he had no competition. The second time he was there, his show was a disaster.

Ready for the third strike?

I know it's hard on a message board to actually try and get the facts straight, cuz really, why would accuracy matter when it comes to trashing someone's rep?
Nick wasn't the one who dropped the F-bombs. He was at a live broadcast, where patrons of the bar dropped the obscenities. An unfortunate situation for Nick, because in these hyper-sensitive times, who's gonna be the fall guy?
Oh, and for his "failure" the second time around? Maybe when management puts a stranglehold on you and you're not allowed to do what got you to the dance in the first place, it's hard to have success.

It would be nice to have Nick back fulltime. He's talented, despite what you believe.

Now, get back to work KK....

It is nice to get facts straight, sidesplitter. You should try it sometime.

Nick left WRQK, the first time, to try mornings on WLRS, in Louisville. That lasted less than a year. Can you say "failed?"

After coming back to WRQK, Nick uttered the F word live on the air, on at least one occaision. Ask Garrett Hart. Garrett did not fire him for it and give the loose cannon another chance. One would think, after that, Nick would have been uber careful. He was not.

Not long after, Nick let the patrons you spoke about drop obscenity after obscenity, live on the air. He was not careful enough to record them first. You would think after these patrons dropped the first obscenity, Nick would have removed the mic from their lips. He did not. The obscenity just kept on flying.

Nick is a liability, waiting to happen. He will fit right in with CC's "Zero Tolerance" policy. ???

If you thought Cumulus put a "stranglehold" on Nick, wait till he meets the Freedom Ave. clan.

Ask Nick about lighting the desk of a WRQK sales exec on fire. That story is legendary, among WRQK employees. He was not fired for that either.

Good luck Ausham. You are going to need it.

Thanks, KK for putting me in my place. I bow to your extensive radio knowledge and awesomeness. I'd rather hear Joe Kleon at night on RQK anyways.
