WRQK's Keith Hamilton loses PD stripes in less than a year

According to OMW, Hamilton will no longer be PD, but will keep his mid-day shift, which lost a lot of numbers (along with the rest of the station) in the last book.

Hamilton could have made a difference. Instead, the station sounds worse than ever and is failing in the ratings. Some people just can't handle management.

Even in the world of CC lackeys, Hamilton couldn't cut the mustard. How sad and pathetic.

It was only a matter of time before Clear Channel would see his true colors/personality in which he had poor communication skills with people
he worked with not to mention the fact that the station had lost quite a few people/employees under his poor management and judgement calls as well. WRQK has gone down hill in less than a year and its a shame that Keith couldn't handle his responsibilities/duties as a PD and let the station go to the state that it is in now. It is obvious he had let the title of Program Director go to his head in which he already had an ego to begin with being on air and now it is so true about keeping ego's in check, if you don't, it will come back to bite you in the ass!

Hamilton could have made a difference! Instead, the station sounds worse than ever and is failing in the ratings because he was never given the chance to program it. Everything that you hear on the air has been under the direction of Keith Kennedy! Take a guy with a hot AC background and give him a rock station to play with, and you get what we have here.

They need to go back to the Goodrock 107 days in the mid-1980's when Greg Morrison, Rik Elliott, Lane Delker and the other jocks worked for the station and bring back the Block Pary Weekends. Those were the days!

I take back what I said, they did hire a PD for WRQK & WHLO. See OMW's blog for the info.

Greg Ausham. Veteran programmer, and, yes, did work at WMMS/100.7 back in 1998. He was PD during the "Death of the Buzzard" that October when Jacor was all but set on scrapping the format for "100.7 KISS-FM"... which was literally aborted at the last second. Ironically, he DID end up becoming the OM for WMMS and what became "KISS" WAKS/104.9 - Lorain less than eight months later.

They need someone to put out the inferno that has been raging for the last year.

Ausham has a lot of damage to undo and relationships to repair.

Amazing how much damage can be done in such a short time, by one person.

Time to sweep up and get ready for the 08 fire sale.
