WRRD/W269DL For Sale

WRRD is not changing format according to its owner. It's simply changing studio locations and the format is intended to continue after equipment's moved.

Regarding from what I heard from their last local shows last week, I thought it would go dark or format change. But they have cancelled all Milwaukee programming (and let go the staff that lives here), closed their east side studios, and will be just a repeater of the Madison station until either the land and/or station gets sold first.

I'm not local to tune in, but it was reported that the talk format was dropped today and the stations were airing ESPN.

Good Karma is doing an LMA while in the process of buying WRRD and its translator. They'll soon launch "101~Seven The Truth", a black oriented news talker, with 15~Ten feeding the translator. Good Karma is looking at closing on both stations Q1 of 2021, but so far no posted purchase agreement has been filed with the FCC. Wonder what Crute will get from the sale? Paid way too much for the AM...only meat on the bones now is the translator and land value.

Isn't Good Karma the ones who sold it to the guy who just bailed on the talk format? So, arent they just taking it back?

Good Karma sold it to Crute for $760k in January 2017, but it didn't close until June 2017. Documents filed with the FCC state the Buyer wired funds to the Seller at closing. Not sure if Good Karma holds a note, but given the long close, it's entirely possible. As of 10/02/20, no transfer documentation has been filed with the FCC.

The CP to downgrade to ND has been approved by the FCC. We'll see if Good Karma still does that or not.
Why not, and save on the power bill?
The transmitter land has been for sale for over a year though and so far it looks like no takers.
