WRRV "Pure Rock Alternative"

Does anyone have airchecks of, or even recall the music mix on WRRV/WRRB when they first took over 96.9 from WDST and used the slogan "Pure Rock Alternative?"

While I do not have a playlist or airchecks my memory of that time is that the station was much more rock than the limp version it is today.

While we're at it, does anybody have anything from RRV back in their begining years (Say from 1995-1997) when they were known as "The Rock Revolution"?

I don't remember exactly when they took over 96.9, but around 96-97, the mix had a lot of harder rock -- STP, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Tool -- and hipper modern rock - Beck, Sublime, Sponge, Spacehog, Smash Mouth. Then by 1998, they had Sarah McLachlan, the Goo Goo Dolls, Alanis Morrisette, and Jewel in the mix -- it's hard to believe now, but that modern adult format sounded pretty good.
