WRSG 91.5, Middlebourne, West Virginia

Hello, everyone! I am the station manager for a small high school FM operation that serves southeastern Ohio and western West Virginia, and has done so continuously since October 2001. WRSG (91.5 as the primary signal; 101.7 and 95.9 are translator frequencies) is licensed to the Tyler County Board of Education. We are a variety station, airing everything from classic rock and roll to classical music. If it's great music, we'll find a place to air it. We especially like for regional artists to submit their music. For example, our "Bluegrass Bonanza" weekend shows have recently featured both Jessica Schoonover and the Price family, local artists kind enough to give us two CDs each. Our Tunetracker systems automation system allows for 24-hour operation all year long. During the summer, I supervise the summer radio program for up to nine weeks, ending with remotes from the Tyler County Fair.

If anyone on this board has relatives in Tyler County and surrounding area, or have worked in this part of West Virginia, I'd love to hear from you. Even if you have no connection to West Virginia, I am ALWAYS open to suggestions as to what a noncommercial high school radio station should do for the communities it serves. We have done remotes for Middlebourne's "Hillbilly Days," as well as one for the Christmas season, at least when volunteers help either at the studio or act as the on-air talent.

Greg
