WRTA

Can someone please either translate this thread or explain it for those of us challenged in our Altoonacasting history and current events?
 
The simple question is "Are they paying other media for advertising?" All of us have at one time experienced people coming into our stations asking for FREE publicity while paying the newspaper for advertising...especially the recruiters!
 
my wife called the station, spoke with manager, the true story is a bit different than what the newspaper reported. If you look at the article, everything is based on what F. Thompson said, not facts of what really happened. I wanted to get a few facts before i donated to anyone this year. WRTA manager informed us that 100% of money donated this year (same as years past) will be donated to families and children in our community through "family servies" NEVER was any amount of what was collected taken or asked for by WRTA. What is the SA army going to do with funds they are collecting this year? They are going to pay bills, and give some toys to kids. My family is donating to the "Drive by Giving Day" at WRTA as we always did, i am proud to do it and we are happy to know it will help families in need. These days, there are bigger needs than just toys.
