WRTH-FM Earth FM 103.3 New Website is up

I'm guessing Salem is going to use 98.5 to fill in the bad spots Earth has in West Greenville/Easley and in the downtown area. It'll be a shame to see X go, though, but I guess the people at Summit in Greenville did everything they could to make it work. I guess they're transferring the lease on the 98.5 signal from Summit to Salem.
 
Yeah, trying to find out about X. They've put a LOT of effort into the station in the last few months. Have no idea why they would have if they knew this was coming.

The thing is 98.5's signal sucks even in the Greenville/Easley area so not sure how much it will help Earth.

My hope is that X could go to 97.7 because I've heard from inside that X actually outperforms Chuck in their target demos (despite the differences in 12+). That's wishful thinking. But my only thing to grasp onto now.

Otherwise, this market will once again be awful for anyone liking even mainstream new rock. The Planet still skews far on the active side. And MY used to play some adult alternative but is leaning more and more towards the pop side of Hot AC (and even playing more Hot AC from 5 years ago than much new).

It'll be back to streaming all the time if X goes for me.
 
I think they may have gotten in trouble for letting the cat out of the bag too soon. The site above has been changed back to just have 103.3.

Still trying to get the scoop from the Summit side.
 
Still,...yet another positive move for The Earth. The Stream will certainly solve some of their coverage problems......Can get "Love In The Morning" on the office radio, well...now that problem has been fixed. The site is new, and incomplete, but it is a work in progress. ....and a correction: Salem is not calling the shots.

Salem is the parent company, but it is one of their subsidiaries,.....that is calling the shots.
