WRTM 100.5 FM on the air in Jackson?

I like the moniker for WRTM. The new "Move 100.5". I am in Forest and I generally get you in not really Good but sometimes I got you strong for a couple of days and today I had to move around the radio to pick you up. Out here we also have to contend with SL-100 out of Laurel on 100.3. SL-100 may add a little bit of adjacent channel interference down toward Forest and Points south in Smith and Simpson County on some FM radios. I also like the feel of your station. It is the same feel I felt long time ago (late 60's) listening to WOKJ years ago. I am white and I had a cousin who would listen to WOKJ instead of other top 40 fare in the 60's during WOKJ's heyday.

Will 100.5 now call itself a jackson area station? from the coverage map on radio-locator it doesn't get into vicksburg or port gibson anymore. Maybe they should have kept WRTM AM to fill in the coverage they lost in the FM's move. Where will the studio and office be?

They ID themselves as Sharon/Jackson. I found two addresses for them. I did a yellowpages.com search and found an address of 855 Pear Orchard Road in Ridgeland (though it says Jackson, but the Jackson portion of Pear Orchard is all residential). The Inner City stations (or whatever their new name is now) are at 731 Pear Orchard. I found a Facebook page for WRTM and it has 350 N. Mart Plaza address. That's about a mile from my house. I'll see if I can find any evidence of a radio station there.

Smooth, maybe? They were known as Smooth 100 dot 5 in Vicksburg. If they would dump the blues and become a straight R&B station, they could give Kixie 107 a run for their money (which they desperately need).

I stand corrected. It is smooth 100 dot 5. Also as I was listening tonight I was getting a little bit of interference from WAPI out of Birmingham. But with as much FM interference late, it is not surprising.

I quit doing radio impressions a long time ago. ;D Sorry I couldn't resist.
