Could anyone tell me when WRTO, and WONX will boost their daytime signal to 25,000 watts? Thank you.

WRTO is under construction, while WONX is an application, i believe. Building a complex directional takes a year or more.

Re: WONX-1590

Don't hold your breath on Carol Stream, IL.

They'll only get 20 kw if they really have a tower site
in the bag. WTTN at Columbus, WI have them boxed in.

Also, their nighttime engineering is screwed up so bad,
they'll only get 2500 watts...barely able to be heard in Carol Stream!

Maybe they will try for dual sites day and night. Keep the current site for night time. I would not invest my money in this upgrade. IMO the whole AM band is for crap now with the arrival of AM IBOC. Marginal stations that upgrade are not worth it. Some severely directional stations may never work with AM IBOC.

Any news on the Harvard move up north?

Re: WONX-1590

I agree that IBOC seems to have made a mess of the AM Band with the smaller stations becoming marginalized.

Re: WONX-1590

I think that WMCW move will be tough, because the site they picked is on top of a large granite formation, and the ground conductivity is '2' up there.

35 kw going nowhere....maybe 60 miles, tops.

good luck to all parties concerned...

If so, could you post it? Thank you.
