I had spent 14 months at X-15, in fact I did the final airshift on X-15 on Jan. 1, 1996 before the station was sold. I had only met Chandrima a few times and the station seemed to be used mainly to run ads for the Shish Mahal and the Sunrise Motel, which I believe the Barua's also owned.

Hey Chad, How are you? I was on X 15 from September 1992-June 1995. What great memories working there. That was definitely a sad day when X 15 changed formats. What great alternative music we played at the station. I think they actually demolished the building up there in Downtown Monroeville!!!!

Hi Todd,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember you as the one who trained me at X15. I remember you going on to WVCS at California U afterward. Are you still in the business? X15 was my only radio stint though I've looked from time to time - paying the bills now take priority over DJing. Moved to Birmingham in 1999.

I had heard that the old Wyngate Drive studios burned down. I know a lot of houses were getting built in that area in the 90s and figured the land had to be worth more than the station ever was.

I think Barua still owned the license before Horvath got a hold of it, but he sold the land beneath it to another doctor, whom I believe intended to develop the property it was sitting on. She wasn't really interested in the radio business, probably from seeing all what Barua had gone through with various lessees over the years.

Mike Horvath operated the station out of the Sylves Lane location for about two years before he moved it. They allowed him a limited amount of time so he could get a new array built and the studios moved before they nuked the two buildings.
