WRVR goes Digital?

Noticing that familiar sideband hash at 104.3 and 104.7. Sounds like WRVR has turned on the HD signal. I hear that WMFS may be getting ready to flip on the digital as well...say goodbye to WKRA outside of Midtown if that happens.

It shouldn't. IBOC technically only occupies each side of the primary frequency. So, it should only affect 93.1 and 92.7. Of course, the key word is SHOULD. AM, by the way, affects two sides in both directions of the primary frequency. In other words, WHBQ 560 would create hiss on 550, 540, 570 and 580.

WRVR is installing digital transmitters. It may well be they are now on the air.

It must be on the air. 104.9 sounds like a vacuum cleaner!
