WRWD Returns to 99.3 on March 8th

Have you heard the news? WRWD is returning to 99.3 on March 8th. I listened to it this on 107.3 which is the main station that WRWD made that announcement. After 2 years of dropping it simulcast and flipped to a news/talk format known as "News/Talk 99.3", wRWD is returning to the airwaves. I hope this would be a great move. The WKIP-FM calls is changing back to WRWC.

I guess this news/talk format is not doing it well on FM, but this one of the first FM news/talk to flip formats. There's "FM News 101.9" in NYC doing some news with some talk elements which is under Merlin, but I hope 99.3 will go back to country.

Any thoughts?

This comes on the heels of WFAF in Mt. Kisco flipping to a simulcast of Cumulus' WDBY, Kicks 105.5 on March 1.
The Country music format seems to be strong as ever.
Will WRWD 1370 AM continue to simulcast WRWD FM? Maybe the news/talk programming will be returned to 1370 AM. This is a presidential election year, so it may not be the ideal time to totally drop a talk format.

It looks like WRWD on 107.3 is back once again to simulcast on 99.3. After three years of simulcast a news/talk station on 99.3 which was WKIP-FM, WRWD has finally returned to 99.3 under a new call letters WRWC which hasn't been used is once 2009. The news/talk format has moved back to AM at 1370 AM which is WELV. Good move for the station. Cumulus started simulcasting a country station for WDBY's "Kicks 105.5" on 106.3 last week, but here we go again, back to where it belongs. Thanks to WRWD.

Do you think they'll change the lineup - maybe in the morning? I'd really like to see Annie (now on k104) back with CJ. Although, I don't see her leaving a BIG station to go to WRWD, BUT, she and CJ did have great chemistry, unlike CJ and Dee. Dee is a little dry for the mornings.

OH - and this is my second post ever here on the board - hello all!

To say CJ and Dee were'nt that good would be a gross understatement. CC lives up to its name cheap channel; you can tell be the on air so called talent they ain't paying much. Good example--Paty Quyn was the glue that held the place together, and they fired her. That should tell you something. Dee sounded like a illiterate valley girl. Even witout spending money they still have the country music audience, when u see that the competition is the Woof.....you get what you pay for, and you can tell they arent paying much. Too bad Tommy Walker is damaged goods....he could regain a good morning showing, but no way will they hire him back...

I agree that Patty was the glue that held that staion together and firing her was a mistake on CC part. Did they replace her with someone? I think CJ does a great job on WRWD. ive been listening now for about 2 years and really enjoy what he does on the show. I followed him from kiss fm and do miss annie and the other people. De does sound immature at times but i think that youll get that from anyone sometimes.

Did anyone notice that they left it mono from when it's talk! Doesn't sound good, why would you run a FM music format in mono... so it get out further? Why when you have both signals??

Do miss Paty... love CJ and Dee.
