WRWD's New Show Starts Monday Morning

According to WRWD's Facebook page:

Two words: Big Surprise. On Monday morning. Actually, that's 5 words. Okay....Five Words: Big Surprise on Monday morning. Have a great weekend ya'll. - Web Guy

I hope I should looking forward to record the show this coming Monday. Don't let your fingers crossed.

Good luck to them!

He couldn't do mornings so they moved him to afternoons. He couldn't do afternoons so he went on sabbatical. He came back from sabbatical and was fired.

So they hired back the guy who couldn't show up for his shift, got charged with six counts of felony forgery and six counts of falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing, misdemeanors. Not to mention he STOLE peoples deposits they gave him for weddings, birthdays, etc. and that CJ did WRWD a solid and did those parties pro bono.

Sounds like a real gem.

It's all over his face book page. He's coming back. I feel bad for the listeners. He was a great radio talent - but all the stuff he did - to the staff -then to the listeners. Downhill Dave summed it up nicely.

Roger, unfortunately this is very true. You are absolutely correct.

Yeah, goes to show you that the young hungry talent that is in the hudson valley wont get a shot anymore, like Fuzzy and Choco and even Cody Thomas were all screwed by cheap channel for they probably told them all they had no more "Part time" money - Fkers couldn't drop the $8.00 an hour to pay these guys to drive from where ever they came from to voice track and never get anything in return except a pat on the back and a swift kick in the ass saying see ya thanks for coming! Radio is all about not how much money you make, but if you are a egotistical prick you can keep your job. the one thing Fuzzy, Choco and Cody were far from. I see Cody all the time, he said that he doesn't miss radio, he doesn't need it he hasn't the itch as he once did and ps, congrats on getting married also.

But onto other things, the whole KissFM thing fliping formats and bringing Marino back doesn't impress me. it just shows me that he'll do whatever it takes to be a team player, even if it means taking one for the team. I bet Jess Mazzola aka Jess Peters regrets leaving a sure thing at Pamal.

When Tory Grace left the K104 Woodman in the morning show they did not ask Jess Mazzola aka Jess Peters to take her place. They went out and hired Anne to take Tory's spot. Jess was a good fit on 92.9 WBPM and was doing mornings until she left Pamal to work for Clear Channel on Star 93.3

I think she left Star 93.3 because her schedule was hard with her full time job schedule.

It's possible the new GM at CC-HV doesn't know the details of TLW's history, but my guess is he just doesn't care. He could even be happy about it because it discounts the amount he has to pay him. If he had a clean record he would cost more. It's a buyer's market for damaged goods.

My issue with TLW is how obnoxious he is on Facebook to the people he apparently stiffed. There's no contrition there. Just defiance. I wonder what a parole officer would say about how that attitude predicts the potential for recidivism?

The so-called higher-priced talent is being squeezed out so Clear Channel and Cumulus can pay their debts. If the Marinos, TLWs and Coopers of the world will work cheap the CJs will keep getting shown the door and the Tobins will keep walking when their contracts run out.

There is (little to) no money in on-air work in Hudson Valley radio (and probably in markets like this one and smaller ones across the country). The real hard truth to swallow is that most listeners tune in for the music and don't care about the DJs. The stations that play the music I'm most interested in are WRRV and WRWD and I will listen regardless of who the clown behind the mic is.

Cody (who's real name is Rob)got his start at WSPK K104 as an intern with Woodman as Goatboy (if anyone can remember way back when in 99) and then worked I believe in Monticello for 2 years doing part-time weekends and then got promoted to doing fulltime Mid-days for 2 years and also filled in on 92.9 WBPM for about 2 weeks as a favor to Randy Turner but nothing panned out and then worked on Kiss and Star for about 8 months(he had filled in for Marino a few times), yes clear channel is voice tracked 99% of the time but that qualifies part timers as no talent? if they can get on the air I think that does stand for something

Steve - who in the world is Cody Thomas!? Weekenders don't count as talent.

ummmm ... really, bro? rick mcaffrey? dr. john barron? they were the more popular ones. as a former weekender, and quite a dedicated one, i would tend to disagree with your statement
