WRXP: Is Pinfield still on vacation?

It seems like Matt went on vacation and prerecorded stuff that Leslie worked into the show but you could definitely tell he was not there from the total lack of interaction between the two. Now it's been quite a few weeks but she's still running the show, what gives?

'RXP is painfully clinging to life. The '90s at noon?? K-ROCK did something very similar in their final incarnation. And, the one interesting song they play each day is referred to as a "lost '90's nugget". I'll steal a line from McDonalds and say maybe RXP needs to be nugget-ized.

In other news, I was at alternative station WFNX's "Miracle" X-mas concert show last night in Boston featuring Neon Trees, Broken Bells and Ra Ra Riot. The idiot lead singer of Neon Trees says at the beginning of their set, "We want to thank WRXP for having us." I erupted with laughter upon hearing this, and thought to myself "wow, way to insult WFNX" ;D

Perhaps WRXP is attracting enough young male listeners to be attractive to advertisers, despite the mediocre 6+ ratings?
WPLJ's +6 rating is now only .2 above that of WRXP. Yet it has been a very profitable station.

WRXP has been on vacation for about 3 years now. Today they played Ozzy yet still are referred to as a AAA station for music reporting. Huh?!

Pinfield was a terrible choice for AM drive. It's like waking up to a hangover (no pun intended) talking to you with that voice. Not what I want to hear coming out of my alarm clock at 7am. He would have been fine in PM drive, kind of a Muni-esque feel to the show with a music head. That doesn't work for AM drive, people don't give a crap about the bassist for Depeche Mode, they want to know how the FDR Drive is.

And I LOVE the FNX/RXP mix up. That's just priceless.

I used to work at Walmart. One of my female co-workers had a really loud, annoying squeaky voice. I had to be in for 4:30AM on Black Friday 2008 and when I found out SHE was working at 4:30AM too I was thinking to myself "NO! I CANNOT DEAL WITH THAT LOUD ANNOYING SQUEAKY VOICE AT 4:30 IN THE MORNING!"

Pinfield is bad, Fram is the worst though. Everytime she opens the mic it's a major tune out. How doesn't the PD recognize this and freshen up am drive. Oh wait....

Exactly. I think it's the morning show thats keeping the ratings down. They'd do so much better just playing good music, like an ipod. Her voice and attitude is so grating and annoying.

Fram killed the ratings of her station in Atlanta. 99X was an embarassment by the time she and her crew of has-beens were finished wrecking it. The fact something actually thought she would "work" in New York is comical.
