WSAA Benton

The is the second station I have seen that has gone silent due to staffing. Is this a growing trend or what.
I know Benton is a small town and that station is probably not seving them, maybe trying for Cleveland or a rim shot to Chattanooga but come on, there are several colleges in that area where they could pick up some part time board opp's . The STA also mentioned that they were looking to be sold. Any idea for how much?

WSAA has a different set of partners than the other Fink stations. I suspect it will be rolled in with WBAC and WAYA when they can untangle the maize of cross owned limited partnerships. The tower is just south of Cleveland now. They won't want to sell it to someone who would be a direct competitor.

Staffing is not the issue. They have spanish speaking bodies at WOCE (101.9), and know how to run an automation system. You just have to put something on your STA, and they chose staffing issues.
