I just responded to one of the comments on WSAR's website- but I triggered a thought of mine. I work in the Providence Market. Have years of experience in the Boston Market! But I need to recognize the WSAR news department. They are better than any other station when it comes to providing news! I listen to WSAR often just to hear the news. I actually got tuned in one day when Clif Ponte was giving a news update. It was an update at the bottom of the hour.- He is very talented...Crisp and clear anchor.- Has the morning news been cut? I know he didn’t leave, because I herd Barry introduce a voicer of his this week... and could have sworn I herd him with a production spot at my station... Does anyone have an answer?

Alan is good in the afternoons. You can tell he is new-- Some words just don’t appear clear to me! But that will come with experience in this area! - The only problem I have with the news is the traffic and update sounder. Its sucks! The afternoon's- Allan has that sounder loud at times. We can barely hear him.

Overall A- in the news department!-- I would like to see them but Clif back to morning news! Like the Summer months!

Oh Boy..... You just had to go and bring up the news and Traffic sounders, didn't ya? I just had a year of peace with Keri. Now you've gone and ruined it.
 
The reason why MIDDAY news was taken off, and is now ABC is because Cliff, had school... and DUHH!! We are in radio!!-- An industry of cut backs!! DUHH!
