WSAR Shake up

WSAR is going through a major shake-up. Word is that Mike Moran has left the station after they offered him an afternoon shift. Hector a radio legend and station GM has been demoted. Hector is no longer a GM. He is strictly doing morning drive. Keri has now posted on allaccess.com an opening for afternoon drive. Therefore, I am guessing that she is going to move her shift...Who knows.

Personally, I think that WSAR is a good station. There problem= they are too close to Providence.
 
Wow... biggest news is that Keri is bailing out of her Afternoon shift. I wonder if it was her decision (or) if she was pressured into leaving because of all the wackos who are after her. I know that a few jaded listeners have been trying to get her fired. Maybe she has had enough. I truthfully don't know. But I do find it very interesting.

Hec always seems to survive. He's like the Fall River version of Imus and never really leaves. He'll die attached to that console. Hec has been friends with the owners of the station for many many years. He's pretty much safe for life unless he really pisses one of them off. His demotion may be because he simply wants less responsibility in his senior years. That's my guess.

I don't know where Keri could move her shift? A person typically doesn't go from afternoon drive to mid days. So I don't think that's going to happen. My guess is that she just won't have a show anymore. That is a bit sad if I turn out to be right. I haven't always agreed with her and I still don't like those news and traffic sounders... LOL. But the woman has passion and I know that she loves doing her show. So it will be a bit sad if she'll no longer be doing something that she once loved.

Interesting stuff. I'll be watching to see how this whole thing plays out. Oh yeah.... one more thing. I wish someone would finally complete the station website. I'm a step away from offering to do it myself. lol
 
I have an insider who's been telling me about Keri and working with her for years.. Keri's a professional lier .She lives in a world of Crazy. Hec would look the other way and it finally caught up with him. Over the years I've heard the different stories about feminists like Deb Reggireo and Keri. Pushing their nutty thoughts and agendas and Some of you have been hard with Debbie. I guess thats because no one knows Keri in R.I.. Debbie is a saint compared to Keri. Wsar was sooo desperate for someone to P.D. and do Drive time they didn't care what Keri did. They gave Keri 3 years at Wsar. She's turned it into a nasty place to work. Now we're seeing the end result.

Latest word is that Keri will be getting up a lot earlier soon. Looks like she'll either be paired up with Hec or she will be taking over for Hec. My guess is that they will be paired up. My only concern is that thier shows are total opposite. Doesn't seem like a great combination if my hunch is correct. What a big change Keri would have to make. She would have to go from aggressive afternooon host to a tame kitten in the morning. Does she want to be a tame kitten when she's been busy building up a reputation as an agressive go getter? Isn't that like Michael Savage leaving his show to go work with Joan Hamburg. Something just doesn't feel right.

When I was a kid, I had a favorite TV show. A.L.F. Anybody remember it? I think Skynet found
where ALF went. The UFO people may want to see that clip. ;D

Boston Wiz, Keri has a face and body for Radio! Her voice is a cross between Hillary yelling at Bill and finger nails across a blackboard.
Perfect 'talent' ( lol ) for Wsar.

Radio Info had to knock the stronger posts off. Just saying 'honest' , accent on 'honest' ;)

If you've been in radio for 12 years, you know the deal....radio rule #2 (#1 is it's the same 5 people on the way up as it is on the way down)-don't believe the voice! Whether it be a caller or a DJ, odds are they are made for radio.

Ahhhhh... the magic of Radio. Never knowing what to expect when you actually see the person. Growing up I thought David Simpson from Pro-FM had to be suave looking based on his voice. That was until I hung out with him and Laura Branigan one afternoon. My first impression. Dave looks like a nerd.

Fast forward to hearing Howard Stern's sidekick Robin Quivers. What a lovely sounding white woman I thought. Then I mailed the station for pictures. I almost fell over when I opened up the envelope and saw that Robin was black! Not at all what I expected.

I could probably give you multiple other examples of the RADIO FACE not matching what I thought the REAL FACE would look like. After listening to Sally Jesse Raphael for about a year, I thought it was a joke when I finally saw her Fire Red hair and Big red clown glasses. It certainly wasn't what I pictured in my mind.

They don't call radio, "THEATRE OF THE MIND" for nothing!
