WSB 750 Off For Maintenance EARLY EARLY Morning Dec 3rd (Wednesday)

They will be off tonight, 1206am/0506UTC Dec 3rd for at least an hour
 
It's interesting to look at who WSB shares 750 AM with at night. It's not many stations.

--KXTG Portland, 20,000 watts at night.
--KFSD Anchorage, 50,000 watts around the clock.
--CKJH Melfort, Saskatchewan, 25,000 watts.
--KMMJ Grand Isle, Nebraska, 10,500 watts.
--KOAL Price, Utah, 6,800 watts.

And that's it except for a few stations running 1,000 watts or less.
 
CKJH was heard by a bunch of Midwest and East Coast DXers when they were off several overnights in the fall/winter of 2022. Cuba and CBGY NF were also heard on the east coast. Both UT and OR null WSB, of course, so they weren't heard on the east coast.
 
Noting Progreso on the Bermuda SDR. At the SDR in Carterville IL, a faint English talk station is in (Newfoundland?) plus some very weak SS music. No sign of CKJH.

UPDATE from Carterville IL as the English talker is IDed...it's Sports Byline USA, which is on KOAL Price UT! 6.8KW 1177mi

Years ago I worked at 750, WBMD Baltimore, a nonDA with 780watts, and 73 watts PSA. They covered about about 85 miles, but even after sunset it was not uncommon to hear programming 35-45 miles from the transmitter in east Baltimore with Atlanta in the background, coming off a folded unipole on a 500’ tower. At some point they lost that authorization to remain on for an hour or so after local sunset. 750 is quite a frequency! Being by the Chesapeake Bay helped.
