WSB AM/WSBB FM - Monday Morning Announcment

Adam Goldfein said he will be doing Monday - Friday 8-10PM. I heard him say it this past Saturday on his show.
I'm not sure if Erik Erickson will remain 6-8 - that was not addressed.

I doubt that is the actual announcement. It is already in open air.

Has anyone noticed that WSB's Webpage title and google search return says "95.5 FM and AM 750 News/Talk WSB"? .............

I just heard, "It's what everyone is talking about, and you'll hear it live Monday morning on WSB."

Interesting, since everybody here is talking about WYAY. :D

I really hate this. They are purposely trying to dismantle a station on day 3. Unbelievable. If they announce AllNews.....I have lost all respect for WSB and Cox. Too sad. They want to destroy WYAY, because they feel threatened.

Boortz said, "wanna know how much I love doing this, we'll find out Monday, won't we?"

My gut feeling is that Monday's big announcement will be about Boortz.

Good, is he leaving? Let him enjoy all of his billions that he brags about all the time.....

@MarkArum says on Twitter: That @DougTurnbull hit puberty. Just kidding. It's a big thing. Can't say. RT @rbfgnc: So what is the @wsbradio announcment, @MarkArum?

"Big Thing".......you know KFI did this last year. They had a big "announcement" during the time everyone was speculating about an FM simulcast, and the announcement was really just a new segment on a show. Jack FM in Baltimore had a "earth-shaking" announcement "that will keep everyone in the DC/Baltimore area talking. On Monday morning, "Music Monkey" was added. Every time a station says it is BIG and EVERYONE MUST LISTEN, it is probably just another promo to keep people and specifically this board from talking about WYAY. Because, they are scared that they might have to get off of their high horse.

You may be right and history sure does prove that but something tells me its somewhat different from that. When Boortz made his comment this morning, it was very casual within a conversation with someone. If it was just a new promo or new show, I don't think Boortz would have just casually mentioned it. Sure, he may help promote it but that is NOT what he was doing.

He is leaving, the announcement is Monday-his contract runs out 12/31/12. Of course, it's not like anybody listens to him anymore.

He has been nominated to the Georgia Supreme court. If this is the case, I will miss him. WSB's ratings will tank if Erick Erickson takes his place, which will likely happen.

The Adam Goldfine page on WSB's site:
The Adam Goldfein Show
Your Consumer Advocate on the radio. Weeknights 8-10pm & Sat 1-3pm
But Erick Erickson's page still says:
The Erick Erickson Show
Erick Erickson is on every weeknight 6 to 9pm
Is Erick taking Boortz's slot.....??????

Gonna be tough to get a Florida resident on the GA Supreme Court.

Big news, especially with a competitor knocking at the door now. Then they can play out Neal's last few months as an event, what with the election thrown into the mix.

Plus, WSB can re-set their show slots into a more even and orderly fashion if Neal is actually leaving (which I kinda doubt)...5-9, 9-12, 12-3, 3-6...

Well, John McCain lived in Arizona for 2 yrs before getting running for senate and Hillary Clinton lived in NY for a staggering 1.5 yrs before running for senator of NY.

Or, maybe he is cutting back his hours. 4.5 hours is a lot. But, Woolsbey and Lisk are on, by them selves, for 5 hrs. I guess they know the feeling.

That makes more sense to me. 9 to 12. Beef up the news, maybe with an all-news hour at 6.

Or, Clark Howard could go 12-2 and PM news block to go head-to-head with Greg Black and Chery Castro from 2-6?

Again, WSB: please do not do this.

May I say that I think it's very telling how, just four days into All News 106.7, WSB has blinked and is making changes.

In truth, they have to be somewhere between "quite concerned" and "scared shitless" that someone else is going to get some eggs from the golden goose that they've owned exclusively since WGST quit trying 15 years ago.

It's almost like they knew how stale they'd become, but never had a reason to change anything until now.
