WSB AM/WSBB FM - Monday Morning Announcment

I love how crappy WGST has been through BravesRadio AND Planet, that WSB could have cared less. Until, they started getting beat by a bunch of urban stations and started an FM simulcast. That didn't do much, now did it? WYAY is so NEW and FRESH (a word I think WSB will add to their COX dictionary), that WSB realizes how dry and useless they are now.
 
But in honesty, how many of you that don't care for how WSB does business feel this way based on political persuasion. I like Boortz but can't stand the rest of them (I'm Libertarian), but based just on the news part of the station; I think it's awesome and others that have no interested in the talk side of the station agree. The traffic team is out of this world (my view) - Not only because they have a team but also because the broadcasters KNOW Atlanta.

They can do away with Hannity for all I care and do a news program in the afternoon which can mirror what they do in the mornings.

Personally, 106.7 will get stale to me with the same news repeated all day long

I'm as conservative and republican as all get out, and still hate Hannity. Can't stand the presentation, the accent, and the anti-opposing opinion style and the way he formats the show. It's amazingly boring and useless.
 
I thought Boortz last hour was just highlights from the show anyway? The WSB schedule page says it was updated October 2011 with Ericksom 6-8 and Goldfein 8-10 so don't think there is a change there. If anyone is leaving it is Clark not Boortz.

Listened Lately? Erickson 6-9, ReClark 9-10, Ramsey 10-1.
 
Just checked Twitter- Boortz says he is not leaving WSB on monday....What could it be?

4-9am: AMN with Scott Slade
9-11: Boortz
11-12- midday news
12-2: Clark Howard
2-5: Adam Goldfein
5-8: Atlanta's Evening News
8-11: Dave Ramsey.

The schedule has changed as of Monday. Erick Erickson is on from 6 to 8 and the other guy (forget his name) is on 8 to 10 followed by that other guy know one listens to (ramsey).

Clearly your over posting is causing delirium. First of all the top station in town does not throw their line-up away after 3 days of a rival. Like my earlier post think tweaks not Planet Radio.
Morning news team on air at 4:00?

Mid day news at 11:00 instead of 12:00. I can see maybe 11:30 but on at 11:00 off at 12:00 no way.
Replacing Hannity with Adam Goldfein first off just the suggestion over there could get someone fired especially with the election 5 months away clearly. Hannity would across the street to GST in a minute and El patron would be adios amigos.
 
First of all, Mr. Tibbs- I didnt create this thread. You have acheron82 to blaim for that. WSB has a "big Announcment". That's what the board is about.

It's called competition and I'm all for it. It doesn't matter what format it is ... if someone changes their format to go up against another station and if that station (in this case WSB) feels they need to make changes to stay competitive to keep from losing listeners and/or revenue they have every right too.

That's the same thing as me saying I have lost all respect for WYAY and Cumulus because they dumped AGH. While I'm not happy about losing my favorite music station, I realize radio is a business and Cumulus did what they thought would bring them in more revenue.

I have listened to All News 106.7, gave it a chance but for right now, I still go to WSB for my local news, traffic and weather because I feel they offer me more of what I want (live reporters out in the field and more in depth local news).

Do I wish the best for All News 106.7? Absolutely but at the same time, I say let the "games" begin and the best man win.

Hannity was much better when he was LIVE and LOCAL on WGST (opposite Boortz) before he went to WABC.

Info talk is my term for a station that broadcasts programs in the style of talk shows- like ARNN or What Clark Howard does that are not opinionated politically.

Yeah what this board is about discussing the possibilities and I am just saying you are nuts if you think they are blowing it up before they see even a hint of ratings.
