WSB-FM – No One at The Helm On July 4th

So on my way into Atlanta this evening (from about 8:50PM-9:05PM,) was listening to WSB-FM, hoping to hear the Big 80s Weekend, and was greeted for 15 minutes with Delilah (yuck!) in the background, and the songs of the Big 80s Weekend playing at the same time. Turned off the radio after 15 minutes of listening (arrived at my destination.) It was like watching a train wreck, you just couldn't turn away!

So, since they probably have no DJs or “automation operators” there on site this weekend (not surprising,) I wonder how long this is going to last and what actually caused the failure.

Nice little WSB-FM 4th of July train wreck! Remember, automation is perfect, there is no way it can go wrong!

Caller 10, where are you?

A fifty-minute music hour and Delilah at the same time?Everyone's favorite 80s tunes and the encouraging words of motivation from Delilah simultaneously. Incredible!

Not exactly. See tomorrow morning in the 9am hour when Bert Show is still yacking away, B98.5 will be kicking off it's ....

*** SERIOUS NOTE: On June 14, 2007 as I was just pulling up in the Northside Hospital parking lot as my mom was in her last sixteen hours of life, at about 9:25am Q100 started playing Rob Thomas' "Little Wonders". It was the first time I had heard that song. And the lyrics spoke to me in ways to what I was going through emotionally and otherwise that I can not even begin to do justice here, and in the year following whenever I would hear that song again it was very difficult but meant a lot to me. I still believe to this day that G-d or something I cannot explain had something to do with me hearing that song for the first time that morning.

Don

I heard that, too. I put a CD in the dash. Problem solved.

Actually I kinda of regretted posting that afterwards, although it is a true story but very personal. But the only reason I did it is because I was about to write a joke about how while the Bert Show is still yacking in the 9am hour; B98.5 FM kicks off it's "98 at 9", which might include a Rob Thomas or Matchbox 20 song.

But one really has to have faith to being divine intervention has something to do with hearing a Rob Thomas song on Q100! ;D
