It looks like WSB is already slowly phasing out John and Monica because one of them is off most of the time now. Jovita and/or Justin are usually filling in with the one that is here. I rarely see John and Monica working together except during sweeps periods. They are trying to get everyone use to Jovita and Justin so that transition won't impacts 2's ratings. Considering John and Monica have been 6&11pm anchors since the mid 70s they have over 30 years reading the news on Atlanta TV. John spent 14 years at channel 11 in the main chair in between his stints at WSB.
It will interesting to see how the future holds up for Atlanta TV news. With the digital signals for the 4 main networks being nice and clear and the fact that CBS has by far the best prime time we could eventually have a four way race. 11 keeps cutting staff and 5 news not in HD might help 46 out.
