WSB Late Nights Post-Clark

Talkers Magazine is reporting that Shelley Wynter and Malani Kai will get a 90-day weeknight tryout on WSB from 10PM to midnight after Clark Howard's show ends later this month. Shelley and Malani have been hosting Saturday and Sunday evenings on the station.

It'll be hard launching a new show in 1st quarter. I wish them well. Too many broadcast people are waitressing or truck driving.
Once met a homeless man who had been laid off from an MOR station. Sad.

I'm not understanding the 90-day thing. WSB knows what the show sounds like from the current weekend version. Maybe the station wants to look at the ratings, but at that time of night, they're going to be small and probably comparable to Clark's.

Also, they fill in a lot in the evenings. So, Roddy, I also wonder what the 90 days is all about? There cannot be enough revenue at that time of the night to really worry about ratings.

As far as the show goes, I do not think it is a good fit for WSB. When they occasionally fill in on the 6-8 slot, it is like a jolt when they come out of the news.
