WSB New weekend anchor

Where are all these new people coming from?! I was just reading an article on WSBTV.com about the Fulton County Jail being shutdown. Some guy named Michael Buczyner was the reporter for that story. Is Channel 2 on a hiring binge, or are people leaving?

Don't know who this guy is but after seeing him, he looks like he's 17-years-old.
And he doesn't seemed as polished as an anchor should be in this large a market.
In fact, he looks like he should be somewhere like Lexington, KY. He must be
the king of BIG BROADCASTING BREAKS.

I think all too often in broadcasting deals are made (A) because I knew and worked
with your father (B) because he is a friend of _____ (C) because we like the way you
look. This just may be one of them.

Is that sad? If it was my company, the qualified would be the BEST option. The less qualified and do the other jobs and go thru some camera screening w/training.

When I saw him last night for the first time, I was pretty sure he was just a grown-up version of Zack Morris from "Saved By The Bell." :)

He doesn't have the best broadcasting voice......nothing he can do about that though.

His worst trouble seems to be reading a story to one camera and them moving to the
other camera. I've seen that catch him several times now.........guess they don't do
that kind of camera switching in Orlando.

OMG, is WSB-TV trying to look like Good Mornings with such young people? I prefer to see people who have lots experience in the field of journalism to be on an Anchor Desk position. Seeing someone that looks like he is still in high school or Jr. College is displeasing to the viewers. It portrays a viewer to disbelieve anything from the news station while giving people insecurities to take the station in a frivolous manner.

I have watched Craig Lucie and think he does a really GREAT job. If you read his bio, he has clearly worked his way up to reach this market and deserves to be here. In fact, I'm an even bigger WSB Fan now.

I still have yet to see a lick of this Lucie guy. I'm still trying to understand why Tom Regan no longer anchors weekends. Was it a contract/money thing? Was he underperforming? Were his Q ratings too low? Did he decide he just liked reporting better than anchoring? Was it because of that one time he cursed on live TV (not sure if there's still video evidence of that one - I know he was suspended for a spell).

I just thought he was a really good weekend anchor, so I was surprised when he was replaced by Bachman a number of years back.

I gotta say... I think Craig Lucie is quite good. His delivery is strong. I think he makes a good addition to their team.
Besides, since he is young looking, he may help them pull in a younger audience.

Did they pull his stripes? Seems he has been reduced to reporter and fill-in anchor. I'm guessing
that it was a ratings thing. He seems to have gotten a little better though, even if he does sit
stiff as a cardboard.
