WSB-TV doesn't want to find Nemo

WSB-TV did another preemption on Saturday night (which is normally not shocking in and of itself) - but this time, they preempted Disney's "Finding Nemo" and are airing 1989's "Parenthood" instead.

Does anyone know why WSB would preempt a cute family film for a movie about the mistakes of parenting? (Although I like "Parenthood" and don't care for "Nemo, so this works out for me.)

I hope ABC takes their business elsewhere. This just shows that WSB is an imcompetant network affiliate. An indie WSB will work 1,000,000% better.

As I stated on the Classic TV board, a number of affiliates of the big three networks (Fox stations don't do it nearly as much) chose to air their make-good filler programming last night.

ABC would be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally stupid to drop one of their strongest affiliates. WSB-TV is a significant contributor to ABC's ratings.

WSB is as good as an o&o for ABC, so no,
ABC won't drop it (much as I wish ABC was
still on WXIA, but facts are facts).
